Ingredients

 4 tablespoons plain flour

 225ml semi skimmed milk

 1 pinch salt

 3 eggs (medium sized)

 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

 1 tablespoon caster sugar

 12 thick slices bread

  • Step1: Measure flour into a large mixing bowl.
  • Step 2: Slowly whisk in the milk.
  • Step 3: Whisk in the salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla essence and sugar until smooth.
  • Step 4: Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium heat.
  • Step 5: Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated.
  • Step 6: Cook bread on each side until golden brown.
  • Step 7: Serve hot.
